Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic Senior Project Manager to lead our most complex and high-impact IT portfolios. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and under budget, while acting as a vital bridge between our leadership team and engineering squads. This role requires a master of risk mitigation, a mentor to junior PMs, and a partner in driving continuous improvement in our project management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Portfolio Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of large-scale, high-risk projects. Oversee multiple complex project streams simultaneously, ensuring they align with Project Tree’s long-term business goals.
• Stakeholder & Escalation Management: Establish high-trust relationships with senior executives and key global clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for critical escalations and strategic decision-making.
• Mentorship & PMO Maturation: Mentor junior project managers in leadership, methodology, and technical tools. Contribute to the evolution of our internal project management standards (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Advanced Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify high-level project risks and develop sophisticated mitigation strategies. You are expected to have the “turnaround” capability to stabilize troubled projects when necessary.
• Resource & Budget Oversight: Manage significant project budgets and oversee resource allocation across multiple cross-functional teams to optimize productivity and ROI.
• Process Excellence: Facilitate Sprint ceremonies and release readiness reviews, ensuring the “Definition of Done” (DoD) is met across all project phases.

KPIs & Success Metrics

• On-time Delivery %: Consistently meeting project milestones and final delivery dates across the portfolio.
• Budget Adherence: Effective management of financial resources with minimal variance from the approved project budget.
• Stakeholder Satisfaction: Maintaining high satisfaction ratings and trust-based relationships with global clients and internal leadership.
• Team Velocity Improvement: Driving measurable increases in sprint velocity and team productivity through process optimization and AI-augmented tools.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or MBA is highly preferred).
• Experience: 5+ years of IT Project Management experience with a proven track record of delivering multi-year, enterprise-level projects.
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
• Tooling Mastery: Deep expertise in Jira, MS Project, Confluence, and Trello.
• Methodology: Expert knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall frameworks.

• AI-Augmented Leadership: A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to leverage AI-driven insights for enhanced decision-making, predictive risk forecasting, and operational efficiency.
