Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with 10+ years of experience in software testing who can lead quality initiatives, design effective testing strategies, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software. The candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing, API testing, automation strategy, and end-to-end system validation.
The role requires working closely with product managers, developers, DevOps teams, and other QA members to improve the overall software quality process.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Planning
- Define test strategies, test plans, and QA processes
- Review requirements and provide early quality feedback
- Identify testing scope, risks, and mitigation plans
- Drive quality best practices across the team
- Test Design & Execution
- Design complex test scenarios and test cases
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Validate system workflows and business logic
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing
- API & Integration Testing
- Perform API testing using Postman / Curl / Swagger
- Validate system integrations
- Review API contracts and response validations
- Automation Strategy
- Contribute to test automation framework design
- Identify automation opportunities
- Guide the team on automation best practices
- Defect Management
- Identify and log clear and reproducible defects
- Perform root cause analysis for production issues
- Work with developers to resolve defects efficiently
- Quality Leadership
- Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers
- Review test cases and QA deliverables
- Improve QA standards, processes, and documentation
- Release & Production Support
- Participate in release readiness reviews
- Validate production deployments
- Support production issue analysis and root cause analysis (RCA)
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Expertise in manual testing and system testing
- Experience in API testing (Postman, Curl, Swagger)
- Ability to design end-to-end test scenarios
- Strong experience in defect management tools (Jira / Azure DevOps)
- Experience in SQL and database validation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good to Have
- Experience with test automation tools (Selenium / Cypress / Playwright)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab)
- Experience in performance testing tools (JMeter / Gatling)
- Experience in mobile testing (Android / iOS)
